Protein Diet Plan to Maintain a Perfect Fitness

For anyone looking to improve fitness or lose weight, a high protein diet is truly a necessity. Actually there is a close link between diet and body building. The reason is that you are improving metabolism when you are building muscles. You can burn fat and lose weight faster with a higher metabolism. And burning fat and building lean muscle is the key part in trying to lose weight effectively.

Developing Lean Muscle Mass

You must start by working out if you want to increase lean muscle mass. You must stress your muscles to the point of failure when you are doing work outs. When you find that you can’t do another repetition in good form, you will realize that you have reached muscle failure. Stop the exercise when this happens; you may sustain injury if you continue to force your muscles. The idea behind stressing your muscles to the boundary of failure is that when you do so, you are telling the muscles that your body will be go through similar stress later on. Your muscle starts to respond and grow as a result. The repairing process will begin as soon as you finish your workout. But a very interesting thing starts to happen. Your muscles won’t just grow to its preceding state. In an effort to prepare for similar stress levels in the future, it will grow more that its previous size. So you will get impressive muscle growth as a result. This crash and grow up process is repeated countless times by athletes and bodybuilders.

To allow your muscles to repair and grow, you must remember to feed your body after your workout. Protein is the nutrient for growth of muscles. Our daily diet already has various protein sources required for a protein diet plan. Poultry, fish, eggs, soy beans etc are some of the examples for this. Working out is the easy part actually. People mostly fail in the dieting part. So the amount of proteins required for each day should be worked out clearly. Most athletes need around one gram of protein for every one pound of weight as a general rule. That is when it is assumed that you are working out deeply.

The excess protein gets converted into fats so you can’t eat too much protein. Also, most of the foods contain fats apart from proteins. So you are eating all that fat along with the proteins, which just cancels out all the results you are trying to get through exercise. So cut down on fats and sugar and plan for high protein diets. This doesn’t signify that your food will become all tasteless and bland. You can find out new recipes on ways keep the calories to the minimum for instance. Avoid junk food and rather than using animal oils for cooking you can go for vegetable oils. Or you can always use protein supplements especially if you lead a busy life. This will increase your protein intake without having to worry about calories.
