Old-Fashioned But Effective Ab Workouts
You’ve tried the conventional sit-ups, crunches and leg-raises until you don’t think you can take any more. You’ve combined hundreds, maybe even thousands of these favourite exercises with hours and hours of cardio work each and every never-ending week and what’s the result? Sure you’ve got strong abdominal muscles, but do you have the flat, lean, defined stomach you dreamed of? Any sign of that elusive six pack? I thought not. You see, the problem is that the body quickly gets used to that kind of training and it’s not long before it ceases to respond.
When this happens what you need to do is to shock the body into renewed growth, at the same time stimulating the whole metabolic system and making sure it’s producing plenty of the natural fat-burning hormones you need if you’re going to get really lean and ripped. The best way to do this, and to get the most effective ab workouts by far, is to train your whole body intensively in a series of large multi-joint movements such as squats, clean and jerks, deadlifts and overhead snatches. They may sound old–fashioned, but the really strong trainers still use them for the simple reason that they still work.
