Exercise Can Help Kick Smoking Habit

A recent report just revealed that people were more likely to quit smoking if they were on a exercise program. It could be because if you’ve been a long term smoker and suddenly you decide to workout, you see just how bad your health is thanks to smoking.

For any gym newbie starting a workout plan, those first few exercise routines can be tough, but add smoking and they become near impossible and downright embarrassing.

And let’s not forget the idea that exercise can be addictive too, but instead of shortening your life and having breathing problems it can be a positive change in your life. So making the transition from one habit to another could be easier than just quitting cold turkey all together.

And last, a lot of people use smoking as a weight control system and fear the idea that quitting could mean increasing your waist. Add in exercise, and you’re more likely to forget about the hunger cravings and maintain a healthy body image, if not improve the one you had before you quit.

If you’re not a regular fit enthusiast now, it’s ok! Simply look at your life, and instead of slowing killing your body, make the decision to make your life better, stronger and longer. Grab the weight and drop the cigarette. One piece of advice given from a previous smoker was to throw your lighters away.

After all, if you don’t have a lighter, you can’t light up, right? Get planning on your first exercise routine now.
